Dear Colleagues, 
 

I believe you received the evaluation letters for the abstracts you sent for TUSYAD 2014 Cpngress. Due to twist of technology, if you somehow did not receive the results in your mailbox, please contact with the congress secretariat. 

 

We would like to thank both the colleagues who sent abstracts and to the evaluation committee for their contbirution. 

 

Please allow me to warn you about an important thing. I would like to share with you a negative observation of mine during the previous TUSYAD Congresses: We are having problems in fitting to our scheduled presentation duration, including myself. I assume you would agree with me when I say that we really need to pass along the appropriate information in a shorter time. 

 

After the sincere exchange above, as you guess I will make the word up to TUSYAD 2014 Congress (however my opions are also for all scientific meetings). I would like to inform you that utmost attention will be paid to presentation times and duration in TUSYAD 2014 Congress. After the 6 minutes of presentation, 2 minutes of discussion has been allocated for each presentation. When the presentation time is exceeded, we are spending from the discussion time. Even sometimes there is no time left for discussion. However the discussion part is the determining aspect of a meeting’s scientific level. Lack of discussion is what lingers in the minds after the congress and gets most of critics. We would like our moderators to have the least tolerance to exceeding presentation times in TUSYAD 2014 Congress. In accordance with this we would also need your attentionm while preparing your presentations. Having a couple of rehearsals would also help. 

 

We have also extended the early bird registration deadline until July 15, 2014. The presenting authors of the oral presentations and at least one author of the posters need to register for the related abstract to be included in the Scientific Program. 

 

You can also have if you have an outstanding amount for your membership fees of TUSYAD. 

 

I wish you a healthy and beautiful summer season. It will be wonderful to meet the autumn in Izmir at the end of a warm summer
